President's message
This is the time of the year when we start picking our slate of
officers for next year. Charlotte Williams is chairing the
nominating committee this year. Being on the board is a
responsibility, but we do have fun while taking care of
business. If you would like to
volunteer to be on the board please let Charlotte know.
In March a committee is appointed by the president, in April the
committee makes their recommendations, and in May we vote. The
new officers take over in July.
Love to all,
Vicki

Quilter’s Classifieds
If you have a quilt related item for sale or if you need to find
something, let me know and I will include it in this section |
Membership
We need you!!! We are losing members. If you have friends who are
quilters or would like to be quilters, highjack them to one of our
meetings. Maybe, they will like what they see and will join us.
There are many quilters around the area that may think that they
have to be an expert to be in our group. NOT TRUE! We gather to
learn and enjoy each other's company, not to brag on our
accomplishments.

Projects from Nancy
If you wish to participate in the fat quarter exchange, bring a
fat quarter and leave in the basket I will have . Then you will
write your name on a list and a name will be drawn to win all
the fat quarters. I still need someone to volunteer to do the
penny mini for April or there won't be one. Thanks in advance to
whoever volunteers. Just let me know you'll do it at the March
meeting. The penny mini for March was done by Vickie Craig and
it's really cute. As always please remember Hope Haven with food
or paper products and receive an extra door prize ticket.

Raffle Quilt
The top to the raffle quilt is
finished and has been given to Alice Griggs to send to the quilter,
Kathryn Rister. It is a very large medallion quilt containing a
centered feathered star surrounded by a sawtooth border with an
appliquéd vine. Around that is a series of Lemoyne Stars and another
sawtooth and vine border. It measures 99” x 120” and is done in peach,
cream and light green.
It is time to think about selling tickets on our raffle quilt.
When you are asked, please take a stack and SELL them. Please
don’t do what some many of us are tempted to do. Just putting
them in your pocket and forgetting them until time to turn in
the money does not get those extras sold. Sell your stack and
buy some MORE for yourself.

the weather, I know that many of our members and their families have

in the coming year.
If you know anyone ill or has lost a loved one, please
let Sue Drumheller know. Also, if you let Varnelle know, she can
include them in the newsletter. |
